Buyer - Qorpak - Bridgeville, PA 

Job Purpose
The role will manage the purchase order replenishment process, focusing on minimizing costs while maximizing inventory, as well as building and improving supplier relationships

Key Responsibilities
  • Purchase Order & Inventory Management.
    • Replenish inventory with a focus on matching inventory levels (supply) with the needs of our customers (demand)
    • Monitor inventory levels and adjust reorder points to minimize inventory and maximize service levels
    • Process purchase orders and act as a liaison between Qorpak team member and suppliers
    • Resolve discrepancies and/or issues as they occur during the purchase order cycle
    • Manage and schedule transportation needs
    • Effectively gather project requirements from the sales team and obtain pricing from qualified sources
  • Supplier Management
    • Resolve discrepancies and/or issues as they occur with ordering and invoicing
    • Facilitate the escalation process in order to meet customer needs
    • Effectively manage supplier performance by developing and implementing appropriate long-term corrective actions
  • Cost Reduction / Margin Enhancement
    • Analyze spend and request quotes to obtain competitive pricing
    • Ensure proper implementation of resin changes with suppliers
    • Leverage volume to provide cost-effective solutions while maintaining acceptable inventory levels
    • Negotiate pricing and terms with suppliers
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: 
  • 1-5 years of experience as a Buyer in a fast paced environment
  • Experience with inbound transportation, logistics and optimizing inventory levels preferred
  • Bachelor's degree in business or equivalent experience
  • Excellent communication with a passion for negotiation
Working Environment:

Sales Representative / Account Executive  - Qorpak - Bridgeville, PA 

Job Purpose
This role will focus on prospecting and developing new accounts, while maintaining relationships with current customers, in the laboratory and research and development industry.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: 
  • Bachelor's Degree in a business or science related discipline
  • B2B Sales experience involving complex, relationship based transactions preferred
  • Quantifiable record of achievement featuring proven prospecting, follow-up and consultative selling skills
  • Strength in several areas including time management, project management, presenting and communication
Working Environment:
  • Up to 30% overnight travel, casual work environment, office located in Bridgeville, PA

  • Strong organizational and time management skills, computer literate, customer driven focus, self-motivated with the ability to work with complex sales transactions in terms of both depth and breadth
